After the year organizations across the globe have been through, we won’t blame you if you’re itching to go back to in-person events! We are too. But we’ve made some great connections at online events in 2021, and the time and cost savings haven’t hurt either. While they may not play as large of a role as they did in the previous year, we feel virtual events and conferences are here to stay. Due to the popularity of our last list of virtual events, we’ve decided to do another for fall and winter events in 2021.
So once more, here are some free and paid virtual conferences we think you might want to consider attending in 2021:

Free – If you’re in social media, Latercon should need no introduction. This year’s iteration features speakers from the likes of Squarespace, Pinterest and Tiktok, among others in the social media marketing space.

Free – Anyone who knows anything about inbound marketing knows about Inbound. The conference has gone virtual once again, with a free option that gives limited access to content and the opportunity to meet attendees to connect with.

OCTOBER 13-14, 2021
Free – Find out what’s new in the world of business communications. The Advertising Event – Advertising Week

Low Cost – This top advertising event is another that’s usually in the higher cost bracket, but this year it offers an affordable virtual option that still gives you the opportunity to network via virtual ‘happy hours’. Not a bad deal if you ask us!

Premium* – Want to connect with major players in American and European retail? Then this is the event for you. *While this has traditionally been a higher cost event, it can be completely free for brands willing to attend a few meetings with vendors.

Free – You’ll want to get your developers in on this one! This 100% free event caters to tech enthusiasts, developers and engineers with the latest insights, workshops and networking opportunities.
The Tech Event – Reuters Momentum
OCTOBER 27-28, 2021
Free – This is the virtual conference to attend for tech innovators. With a slew of c-level pioneers from the likes of Booking.co, Twitter and Microsoft, this is an event not to miss. While networking comes at a (reasonable) premium, basic event access is free.
The Search Marketing Event – SMX
NOVEMBER 9-10, 2021
Pending – While details like pricing are still up in the air for this top Search Marketing event, digital marketers of any sort won’t want to miss this training session.
The Engagement Event – EngageCustomer
NOVEMBER 9-11, 2021
Free – Europe’s largest customer engagement summit. With an interesting new newsroom concept – “complete with film crew, event host and set that makes you think you’re watching your favourite television show”, this will be an interesting one to attend this year.
The Data Event – Tableau
NOVEMBER 9-12, 2021 (Varies by Region)
Free – Into data analytics? Then Tableau’s free conference is right up your alley. In their own words, this is a great opportunity to connect with your “#DataFam”.
The E-Commerce Event – EcomWorld
NOVEMBER 15-16, 2021
Low Cost – EcomWorld Conference features speakers from the major brands like Shopify, Facebook and up and comers like Allbirds, Glow Recipe and Italic. While tickets are not free, they are reasonably priced for the range of speeches, panels and interviews you can attend.
The SaaS Event – SAAS NORTH
NOVEMBER 17-18, 2021
Low Cost – Canada’s top SaaS (software as a service) event has gone hybrid for 2021, meaning you can attend both in-person and online. This is the event for SaaS founders. Hear from speakers from major Canadian companies like Vidyard, Shopify and Ceridian.
